Spring is just around the corner, that means it’s time to get the park looking good for the warm weather!
We are officially firing-up our workday season starting this coming Saturday, March 1. We will be hosting two volunteer activities: dog waste cleanup and trash cleanup. Since the ground is still fairly frozen, we won’t be starting trail work until April.

Come out and join us to help start the 2025 beautification of the greatest park in all the land. There is definitely dog waste that has accumulated over the winter along with trash. Usually the dog waste collection activities occur only at Yucca Flats and the surrounding trails, but we are going to include near the ballfields by Maizeland as well, since that area has become very popular for dog walking.
Please join us to start this needed cleanup. We will have stickers, Goat Patch Brewing drink tickets, and our fantastic new bandanas for all who come out to volunteer. What’s better than that; help do great work and get awesome swag at the same time!
The day will start at 9:00 am and go until around 12:00 pm. For those who would like to do the dog waste cleanup at Yucca Flats, please meet at the Yucca Flats parking lot. For those who would like to do dog waste cleanup near the ballfields or would like to do trash cleanup, please meet at the Maizeland parking lot by the western ballfield.
As always, please dress for the activity and the weather. Long range forecast is looking good, but we will cancel if Temps are below 30 degrees at 9:00 am or if it snows.
Otherwise, we can’t wait to get this workday season kicked off with a bang! See you in the park!
